What is Autism?

Understanding autism is a Journey of acceptance, growth and discovery

“If you’ve met one person with autism, you’ve met one person with autism”

Chrystal Therapy recognizes Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) as a lifelong developmental condition that impacts an individual's interactions in the following domains:

Social Communication: ASD often involves challenges in both verbal and non-verbal communication, making it difficult for individuals to effectively convey and interpret social cues and messages.

Sensory Sensitivities: Many individuals with ASD experience heightened sensitivity to sensory stimuli, such as sounds, lights, textures, or smells, which can lead to discomfort or overwhelm.

Cognitive Flexibility: Thinking and behaving flexibly can be a challenge for individuals with ASD. They may exhibit rigid thought patterns and find it challenging to adapt to changes in routines or expectations.

By understanding and addressing these aspects, Chrystal Therapy aims to provide support and interventions that cater to the unique needs and experiences of individuals with ASD.
