What is Bereavement

Bereavement

"Take comfort knowing you are loved and supported during this difficult time"

Person-centred counselling with bereavement is a type of counselling that focuses on the individual's feelings and experiences. We will provide a non-judgmental and accepting environment where the bereaved person can explore their feelings without fear of criticism or judgement.

Chrystal Therapy counselling approach allows you to express your emotions and thoughts freely and openly, without worrying about being judged or having judgement passed on you.

Your counsellor will often ask questions to help you gain insight into your emotions and beliefs, as well as explore different options for coping with your grief. They will also provide support, encouragement and guidance to help you develop healthy coping strategies to move forward with your life.

Please read our healthy guidance to help you during this difficult time;

1. Take your time:

Everyone grieves differently, so don’t rush yourself. Give yourself time to process your emotions and feel whatever it is you need to feel.

2. Reach out for help:

It’s important to remember that you don’t have to go through this alone. Don’t be afraid to reach out for help from family, friends, or even a counselor if you feel like you need extra support.

3. Express your feelings:

 Talk about your feelings and share stories about your loved one. It can be healing to talk about them and remember happy times.

4. Take care of yourself:

Make sure you’re eating well, getting enough sleep, and exercising. Taking care of your physical health can help you stay emotionally and mentally healthy.

5. Find support:

You may find comfort in joining a support group or participating in activities that honour your loved one’s memory.

We are here for you and we understand this is a difficult time. Reach out today, our counsellor's are here to support you.
